Craters

So, what's the difference between meteors, meteoroids, meteroites, comets and asteroids?
It's all here:
Today we had a look at the connections between meteors, craters and the end of the dinosaurs.
First of all we dropped meteoroids of different sizes from equal heights.
They made different sized craters.
Next we watched what happened to the dinosaurs as each meteor struck:
Some dinosarus died when they were hit directly, some died because the dust clouds and/or the heat of the explosions killed them, and others died when the sun's rays couldn't reach Earth and plants couldn't grow.  Some poor dinosaurs must have starved to death!
