Using our instruments

We were in a very musical mood this morning.
We played our instruments to the sound of some great kids songs.
Everyone could choose the instrument they wanted to play and then we swapped round lots.
We are proud of the music we can play!

Messy the Dragon

We heard a lovely story about "The Lonely Dragon".
We drew our dragon, did some drama based on our story and made a Voki avatar about our dragon.
We will probably do some artwork based on our dragon story too.

Keeper of the keys

We played a great drama game called "Keeper of the Keys".
In our version, one of the children is as the keeper of the keys and sits on a chair with the keys beneath him/her.  Another child steals the keys then rushes back to their own place and hides the keys.  Then our keeper can turn around and try and guess who has the keys.  This is a fun game.  We really enjoyed playing it.

Learning about Post

Check out this amazing link:

From seed to tree

We are learning all about LifeCycles.
Today we read a book called "Acorn to Oak Tree".
We went outside to see and compare the buds from the Horse Chestnut tree with the buds from the Ash tree.
We noticed that Horse Chestnut buds are big, brown and very sticky, where as the buds from the Ash tree are small, black and very pointy.

Outdoors PE

It was such a lovely day.
We had PE outside in the clós.

We also noticed the flags on the flagpoles.
Our class love flags!

A Castle Fit for Royalty!

Look at the wonderful castle we have for our production of The Princess and the Pea.
We have some great weather effects too!
Many many thanks to Len Wright and his wife Val who cheerfully make and decorate the sets and props for us each year.  We couldn't do it without you!

Spring is here!

Look at the lovely snowdrops, narcissi and crocuses growing beside our front door.
Seeing the new flowers remind us that Spring is really here!
