Bug Hunting on the Beach

We have been bug hunting at school already this year. Today we went to Ballyloughane beach to see if the bugs on the beach are the same as the ones at school. In the distance we saw a lighthouse and a Galway Hooker boat.We found very different bugs on the beach from those at school. The most interesting ones were the sand hoppers. They just love to jump! We could see their really strong back legs. We know they are not insects because they each have 10 legs (insects have only 6). We found some crabs, a worm and some spiders. There were lots of shells on the beach but most of them had no living creature inside. We really enjoyed our morning on the beach.
