One Little Finger

We know lots of nice songs about our bodies both in English and as Gaeilge.
Have a look at one that we really like.

Apples from our garden

Our little apple tree at school is producing lovely apples.
One fell from the tree on Friday.
We shared it between us and we found that it was lovely and juicy.

Here is a lovely Autumn song we are learning right now.

Morning activities

Look at some of the toys we played with this morning.
We especially like sharing and working together.

Our baby things

We have been talking about how big we are now.
We have out grown lots of our baby toys and clothes.
We ate bringing some of those in to show teacher what we wore and what we played with when we were much younger.

Using our instruments

We love music.
Today we had fun using some of the class instruments.

Autumn apple trees

   We painted lovely apple trees.
We used real apples (windfalls) to print apples on our trees.
Our trees look quite real

Word games: Loop games

We are revising the words we learned last year.
Today we played a fun loop game with last year's words.

Colour sorting

We had fun today sorting various toys by colour.

Weather readings and gardening

Each day we record the weather.
We record the daily temperatures with a thermometer and we use a rain gauge to measure the amount of rainfall each day.  Along with our classroom weather calendar we are confident we are measuring the weather correctly each day.
Our school recently won the Tidy Towns Best School Garden.
We went visiting our garden today.
We looked at the colours in our garden, we looked at the bugs and insects there and we looked at the lovely beans growing inside the bean pods.  We are proud of our garden.
