Rockets galore

We had a wonderful time in the field launching all sorts of rockets:

We had a push rocket, a stomp rocket, an elastic rocket.
We also had an air rocket and launcher

and we had a water rocket.

The big rockets needed a big pump to launch them.

We had a lot of fun launching the rockets.

Father's Day cards and finger puppets

We decorated some lovely finger puppets with glue paint.
They look great.
We hope our dads love the special Father's Day cards we made them as a surprise for Sunday.

Gardening in June

Looking at marigold seeds.
From flower to unripe strawberry.
Tansey leaves are really good for migraines.
 We planted some runner beans.
Thanks to Kay for such a great gardening experience this year.

Our new cocoons

All 5 of our caterpillars are in their cocoons.
Today we transferred them to the butterfly garden.
We can't wait to see our new butterflies.

School tour tomorrow

Class tour to Loughwell farm tomorrow.
We can't wait!
Remember to wear sunscreen and a sunhat.
Lunch and an extra drink of water would be great too.
Loughwell farm have also asked that each child wear socks for the indoor play area and a long sleeved top for when they are on the indoor slide.
We will have a lot of fun!

Senior infants sports day

We had a wonderful sports day today.
The weather was wonderful and everyone did their very best.
What a fun day!

Fun in the field

We had fun playing with lots of sports games in the field.
It was really nice playing a huge variety of games with our partners.

Capacity

We had fun today guessing how many cups it would take to fill
a bucket, a lunchbox, a bottle and a jug.
We practised guessing and measuring outside in the nice sunshine.

Class wildlife

After the long weekend our caterpillars have really grown very big.
Emily brought a newt to school.  We really enjoyed looking at her.  We think she will have babies soon.
Emily also found a centipede and a yellow and black ladybird in her garden and Lauren brought in some empty snail shells.  Where did the snails go?
Jack made a great mini beast playground.  I'd say that the mini beasts can't wait to try it out.
Great work everyone!

PE game

We played a great game of Empty the Baskets.
Some children try to empty the baskets, the other children fill the baskets as quickly as they can.
This is a fun, fast paced game.
