St. Brigid's crosses
It will be St. Brigid's day on Sunday.
We made nice crosses today.
We also really like the story about how St. Brigid built her church.
Here are pictures of St. Brigid and her cloak:

An Frog Prionsa costumes
Can you guess what drama we are doing?
These costumes should give you a clue.
We are enjoying practising for our drama An Frog Prionsa.
Look at our Frog Prince and the handsome prince he becomes.
Is aoibhinn linn an dráma.
Inniu ghléas muid suas.
Nach muid atá gleoite?
Here is our witch and the king, queen and the princess.
We have some great storytellers,
and some pretty flowers!
We also have some very handsome princes!
The princess is complaining that they are too old or too young, too fat or too thin, too small or just yucky! We think they are gorgeous!

We have a winner
We had a winner from our class in the recent Green School Colouring competition.
We are so proud of him.
WELL DONE!
Winter paintings
We each painted a lovely winter scene.
Most of us included a bare deciduous tree and a snowman.
Our paintings are lovely!

Bright Sparks 4 Kids
We are learning all about electricity.
We have got a new Bright Sparks 4 Kids kit in the school.
Today teacher showed us how to make circuits.
Tomorrow we look forward to making them ourselves.
We made circuits that lit a bulb (using one and then two batteries).
We made circuits that made a buzzer sound or made a fan rotate (again using one and then two batteries).
We found that if we used two batteries instead of a single battery that the bulb lit brighter, that the motor turned faster and that the buzzer sounded higher.
We even inserted switches so we could turn the buzzer/light/motor on and off.
We are really good at figuring out how circuits work!
