Cabbage White Butterflies (at last)

Remember our caterpillars from last September?
Well, guess what has happened to them?

Today teacher and her own kids went to school to water the school gardens.  They took a look at our butterfly garden, and to their amazement and delight, two of the cocoons have opened, and there were two beautiful white butterflies flying around.  They took the butterflies home, took lots of photos, then released the butterflies into the wild (they wouldn't survive a week in the net, they need to be free in this lovely weather!)

Yoga in our classroom

Goodbye to Conchi

Today is Conchi's last day in our school.  She is going back to Spain in a few days time.  We will really miss her.  Before she left she showed us how to do a Spanish dance, with a flower in her hair and her castanettes.  You are good fun Conchi.  Your students in Spain are lucky to have a teacher like you.
Be sure to come back and visit us again sometime.

Library visit with a French Flavour

Junior Achievement

Today was our last of 5 sessions with Eimear from SAP.  She has been helping us learn about money, about saving pocket money, about business.  We have had a good time with Eimear and are sorry that this is her last session.  Thanks Eimear for all your work with us.

Photos of swallows for Greenwave

A touch of Spain

Conchi is a teaching student from Spain.  She has been helping our class every day for the last 5 weeks (that's why we have such nice artwork at the moment).  She is really nice, and she helps teacher a lot too.   Last night she made a Spanish "Tortilla Patata" for us to try.  It is made from eggs, potatoes, onions and salt.  It was delicious.  We all tried it and most of us loved it.  Thank you Conchi for a taste of Spain.
