More Easter art

We are taking part in a colouring competition.

We are doing a really nice job.

Maybe we will win!

We also made some really nice Easter chicks.

We used crepe paper to make a collage with our chicks.

Writing letters

We have learned a great story from Greece about Daedalus and Icarus.

Today we pretended to be Icarus and we all wrote letters home to Mum explaining what has been happening on our island.

Greenwave

Today was a nice day.

We took a walk in our yard and just outside our school to see the newly budding Horse Chestnut leaves.

We also looked at the buds on the Ash tree.  We can't see any leaves there yet.

How sound travels

We are learning about how sound travels.

Sounds are vibrations.

Sound is a type of energy.

Sound waves travel when molecules of air bump into one another letting the sounds travel through the air and into our ears.

Sounds don't travel in space because there is no air there to let the sound travel from the source to a spaceman's ears.

Second parcel from Israel

Today a second parcel arrived from Israel.

We were thrilled with the postcards of Israel, and pictures of all the places that would be lovely to visit in Israel.  We would all love to visit someday.

Thank you so much to Mrs. Hen and her class for sending us such interesting things.

We are really enjoying learning all about Israel.

We had fun today designing and painting Easter eggs,

 making Easter cards

and making Easter chick boxes.
